\u201cThe Project to support the implementation of geographical indications in the members states of the African Intellectual Property Organization \", abbreviated to \"PAMPIG\", is a program\nto enhance the value of African terroir products and crafts through the use of geographical indications. It is also an international cooperation project benefiting from financial support from the Agence Fran\u00e7aise de D\u00e9veloppement (AFD) and technical support from the Center for International Cooperation in Agronomic Research for Development (CIRAD).<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Project 2IG\/MC<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Project 2 GI\/MC is a project set up and financed by OAPI from its own funds. Its aim is to provide each OAPI member state with a collective Geographical Indication and\/or Trademark for one or more emblematic products. The aim of this initiative is to amplify the regional dynamics of Geographical Indications, on the one hand, and to sensitize OAPI member states to the appropriation of the Collective Mark as a credible alternative in the valorization of local products and crafts.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The Intellectual Property Rights and Innovation in Africa project (also known as AfrIPI) is an international cooperation project funded and managed by the European Union, co-financed and implemented by the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO), in partnership with African regional and national institutions, notably the African Intellectual Property Organization (OAPI) and the African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO).<\/p>

AfrIPI's overall objective is to facilitate intra-African trade and investment between Africa and Europe.<\/p>

One aspect of this project is to support the development of geographical indications, in line with international and European best practice, and in support of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) and the African Union's Agenda 2063.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
