Also known as national seminars with a regional focus, thematic seminars are organized within the framework of the programs of the Denis Ekani Academy of Intellectual Property (APIDE), around a theme and in a member state. Participants are national or regional officials, with a few guests from neighboring countries

These meetings will last 3 days in each of the 4 pilot countries, under the aegis of the National GI Committees (CNIG) in the member states where they exist, or the OAPI national correspondents in the countries: SNL and GI focal point. They will be actively prepared and led by their representatives, with presentations of national products and discussions based on these case studies.

These seminars will serve as a practical "train-the-trainer" exercise by country representatives in "African GI Training". The content will be a condensed version of the African training, simplifying the messages and alternating general presentations with case studies of products from the country or neighboring countries.
