Action-based training programs are aimed primarily at producers and other leaders of groups representing Protected Geographical Indications. They aim to provide simple explanations and practical GI management tools to professionals who produce, process or market PGI products.
In particular, the heads of the "GI groups" (who are responsible for reaching a consensus on the specifications and enabling internal control) are key target participants. These training courses take place in the field, in the geographical area of a registered or candidate GI product. The duration varies from half a day to a maximum of one day, to be compatible with the availability of operators in the sector
